Abrasive air-wash separator

CYM Materiales manufactures a complete line of abrasive air wash separators for compressed air blast rooms. ARC separators recover, clean and classify abrasive in use, separating dust, fine particles and spent abrasive fragments from reusable abrasive. Clean, well-classified abrasive ensures blasting quality and process reproducibility, reduces abrasive consumption and protects projection equipment.

ARC mechanical separators use an air wash curtain system: the abrasive falls as a thin curtain in front of an air current that carries away dust and fine particles, while good abrasive passes to the reuse hopper. Available models range from low-production portable units (ARC ECO) to portable systems for site work and small blast rooms (ARC COMPACTO in ARC 250 and ARC 500 versions) and stationary installations for blast rooms of any capacity (ARC ESTACIONARIO).

For processes using light abrasives — glass beads, aluminium oxide, sand and non-metallic abrasives — the ARC LIGHT ABRASIVES system incorporates a cyclonic separator that classifies abrasive with greater efficiency without damaging delicate particles, making it the reference solution for decorative finishing on stainless steel and aluminium, and for shot peening with glass beads.
