CYM Materiales designs and manufactures a complete line of blast pots for manual abrasive projection by compressed air. With four models ranging from 70 to 500 litres capacity and working pressures up to 10 kg/cm², CY blast pots can project metallic abrasives — carbon steel or stainless steel shot — and mineral abrasives — aluminium oxide, slags, garnet and other alternative abrasives used in sandblasting operations — without any change to the equipment or circuit accessories.

The construction design complies with ASME standards, featuring a semi-elliptical head, conical bottom and a wide inspection port that facilitates maintenance and replacement of the automatic pop-up loading valve. The structure does not rest on the conical bottom, preventing tank deformation under pressure. CY blast pots are manufactured in four control system variants — manual (M), with depressurization (D), dual (DD) and Pinch (P) — adapting to each working condition through easily installed conversion kits.

CYM blast pots operate in naval and industrial blast rooms, in field work and industrial maintenance, and as integrated components in automatic shot blasting and shot peening machines. Universal compatibility with any type of abrasive, the Dead Man active safety system, and the availability of proprietary accessories — hoses, couplings and tungsten carbide or boron carbide Venturi nozzles — make the CY line a complete solution for demanding manual shot blasting operations.

El diseño constructivo responde a la norma ASME, con cabezal semi-elíptico, fondo cónico y boca de inspección amplia que facilita el mantenimiento y el recambio de la válvula de carga automática pop-up. La estructura no apoya en el fondo cónico, evitando deformaciones del tanque bajo presión. Las tolvas CY se fabrican en cuatro variantes de sistema de control —manual (M), con despresurización (D), dual (DD) y Pinch (P)— adaptándose a cada condición de trabajo mediante kits de transformación de fácil montaje.

Las tolvas CYM operan en cuartos de granallado de uso naval e industrial, en trabajos in situ y mantenimiento en campo, y como componentes integrados en equipos automáticos de granallado y shot peening. La compatibilidad con cualquier tipo de abrasivo, el sistema Dead Man de seguridad activa y la disponibilidad de accesorios propios —mangueras, acoples y boquillas Venturi de carburo de tungsteno o carburo de boro— hacen de la línea CY una solución completa para el granallado manual de alta exigencia.

CY blast pots are manufactured in four abrasive cut-off control system variants, adapted to different working conditions, hose lengths and required safety levels. The modular design allows any basic unit to be upgraded to a remote control system using quick-installation conversion kits.

System description

Tipe of controlDetail
M - Manual ControlFor operations where the blasting operator remains in sight of the blast pot operator. The lowest-cost solution for short hose runs.
D - Remote ControlProvides the operator with maximum freedom of movement and safety. The Dead Man system stops all projection when the trigger is released. Enables automatic recharge from accumulation silos.
DD - Dual Remote ControlSame as D, with the additional function of selecting from the hose end between abrasive projection and compressed air blow-off — ideal for sweeping accumulated abrasive from parts without changing equipment.
P - Control PinchDouble-acting pneumatic pinch valve cut-off. Minimizes hose wear and significantly extends service life. Recommended for high-frequency operation installations.
