The safe solution when dry filtration is not an option
The wet scrubber is the solution when dry filtration is not safe: explosive or flammable dusts, metallic dusts from aluminum, magnesium or titanium, sticky dusts, fibers, aerosols and mixed emissions of dust with gases or flying sparks. In these processes, a cartridge or bag filter represents an unacceptable risk — water is the only viable filter medium.
The CYM Materiales wet scrubber combines the functions of a centrifugal separator and wet washer in a single unit. Dust-laden air enters the cyclone tangentially, where water atomization forms a mist that captures suspended particles. Centrifugal force separates the water carrying the dissolved dust from the clean airflow; the sludge settles into the lower container for extraction and disposal in accordance with applicable environmental regulations.

They also apply in processes with sticky dusts, aerosols or mixed emissions that clog or damage conventional filter media.
