MAP-1.0 rotary table shot blast machine with one 10 HP blast wheel
This video shows a MAP-1.0 rotary table shot blast machine with one 10 HP blast wheel, built by Metalcym in Brazil. It is a sturdy, safe machine for cleaning, descaling and surface preparation of parts that cannot be blasted in bulk.
In a rotary table machine, the part sits on a table that turns inside the cabinet, in front of the blast wheel. This is how heavy, flat or complex parts that cannot be tumbled or knock against each other are processed; the video shows a perforated mold. The maximum load on the table is 500 kg (1,100 lb).
The blast wheel has electronic control cage adjustment, which aims the blast, and the abrasive valve is also set electronically, so abrasive flow is matched to each part. The machine is run from its own control panel. The result is a uniform, high-quality finish.
The abrasive is recovered and returned to the blast wheel in a closed circuit, and the high-efficiency dust collector keeps the process from contaminating the environment. The machine was designed in 3D with current engineering tools.
If the part is medium or large, or has a complex shape, it can also be blasted hanging, in a spinner hanger machine.
