Shot blasting of pipes, spools and wind towers

CYM Materiales offers complete solutions for pipe shot blasting by centrifugal blast wheel, for both external and internal treatment in high-productivity continuous process. The machines are designed for pipe coating plants used in the manufacturing of gas pipelines, oil pipelines, water pipelines and other industries requiring a specific set-up to process the same diameter for extended periods of time.

The TUB line processes the exterior of pipes with diameters from 12 mm to over 1524 mm. Thanks to its innovative design, 100% of the abrasive impacts the surface achieving optimum performance, reaching blasting speeds above 20 m²/minute with high-power blast wheels.

For plants requiring greater flexibility, the PER and EST lines allow processing of raw material and fabricated parts in the same machine: pipes, spools, bent pipes, profiles and welded structures. With fast set-up to switch between diameters or part types, and roller or overhead conveyor transport options, they are the recommended solution when process diversity matters more than per-diameter throughput.

The TUB-I-TR line processes the interior of pipes from Ø20" onwards using centrifugal blast wheels mounted on a rotating head, with production rates of 2 to 7 m²/minute per blast head.

Both internal and external machines are complemented by loading and unloading systems, pipe accumulation racks and external conveyors with simultaneous travel and rotation.
