Portable turbine blast machines — high performance closed-circuit blasting

CYM Materiales portable turbine shot blast machines are closed-circuit machines designed for the surface treatment of large areas on site, without fixed installation or scaffolding. They operate by projecting metallic shot with a centrifugal blast wheel while simultaneously recovering the abrasive, allowing work in open or enclosed spaces without environmental contamination or risk to operators.

The GPP line is a self-propelled portable floor shot blast machine for horizontal surfaces: steel plates, concrete floors, airport runways, ship decks and tank roofs. A centrifugal blast wheel projects the abrasive onto the surface while the recovery system collects the rebounded shot and the dust collector filters the contaminants generated, delivering a clean, dry surface ready for coating.

The GPV line is a portable wall shot blast machine designed for the treatment of large-scale vertical and curved surfaces: tank exterior walls, silos, ship hulls and tall metal structures. The machine moves horizontally automatically and vertically by means of a hoist or crane, eliminating the need for fixed scaffolding and significantly reducing surface preparation time and cost.

Applications

Uses and shot blasting processes

CYM Materiales portable turbine shot blast machines cover two major application groups depending on the orientation of the surface to be treated: horizontal for the GPP line and vertical or curved for the GPV line. In both cases the process is closed-circuit with no abrasive dispersion to the environment.

GPP — PORTABLE FLOOR SHOT BLAST MACHINE

GPP — PORTABLE FLOOR SHOT BLAST MACHINE

  • Shot blasting of industrial concrete floors, airport runways and pavements
  • Surface preparation of steel plates and sheet metal laid on the floor
  • Treatment of ship decks and floating-roof tank tops
  • Cleaning and roughness profile for epoxy, polyurea and anticorrosive coatings
  • Automatic process with a single operator, dry surface ready for coating
  • GPP5 (7.5 HP) and GPP25 (25 HP) models, production 20 to 60 m²/hour on steel
