Millimetric precision — localised shot peening with robot

The CYM SAT-2 blast room is a compact system designed for localized shot peening of complex structural components. An industrial robot controls the nozzle with millimetric precision over the critical zones of the part — bearing seats, weld zones and stress concentration areas — mounted on the CNC rotating table for exact positioning. The process increases fatigue resistance and prevents crack propagation in the treated zones. Applicable in the automotive, railway, aerospace industries and any industry requiring high-precision localised surface treatment.

Note: 1) Abrasive selection, working pressure and Almen intensity are defined according to each process specification. 2) Cut wire generates higher Almen intensity than shot of the same diameter, with lower degradation rate and longer abrasive service life.
