Blast cabinets suction and pressure
CY-S & CY-P Line
Suction and pressure — blast cabinets for every process and production volume
CYM Materiales designs and manufactures a complete line of compressed air blast cabinets for manual blasting at low, medium and high production volumes. CY cabinets are available in two projection systems — suction and pressure — and in two construction lines: the Hobby Line for light applications and the Industrial Line in heavy-gauge plate for intensive processes. All models work with metallic, mineral and vegetable abrasives: steel shot and grit, glass beads, aluminium oxide, silica and walnut shells, among others.
Suction cabinets are the economical solution for low production volumes and general-purpose touch-up work: compressed air suctions the abrasive and projects it through the blasting nozzle. Pressure cabinets are the solution for intensive work: abrasive is pressurized in an ASME pressure pot and projected at higher velocity, delivering greater blasting intensity and higher productivity. The modular design of the Industrial Line allows conversion from suction to pressure or vice versa without welding or modifications.
For processes requiring greater precision in abrasive classification — such as shot peening with glass beads or aluminium oxide — CYM Materiales offers models with a cyclonic separator. The intermediate cyclone separates dust and fine particles with greater efficiency before the abrasive returns to the pressure pot, ensuring abrasive quality in high-demand processes. For automated processes, any model can be fitted with automatic nozzle manipulator systems for automatic blasting of parts, pipe threads and profiles.
Applications
Uses and shot blasting processes
CYM Materiales CY blast cabinets cover a wide variety of manual blasting processes: from light cleaning and frosting to industrial shot peening and automatic blasting of oil well pipe threads. The choice of projection system and model depends on abrasive type, required intensity and production volume.

SUCTION — LIGHT AND INDUSTRIAL WORK
- Hobby Line (CS37S / CY48S): light cleaning, glass and plastic frosting, touch-up and decorative finishing
- Industrial Line (CY0807S / CY1210S / CY1618S): surface preparation, deburring and scale removal
- High-performance pistol in aluminium casting with ceramic or tungsten carbide nozzle
- Pneumatic abrasive opening and cut-off foot pedal
- Compatible with metallic, mineral and vegetable abrasives
- Modular design convertible to pressure without welding (Industrial Line)

PRESSURE — INTENSIVE WORK
- Hobby Line (CS37S / CY48S): light cleaning, glass and plastic frosting, touch-up and decorative finishing
- Industrial Line (CY0807S / CY1210S / CY1618S): surface preparation, deburring and scale removal
- High-performance pistol in aluminium casting with ceramic or tungsten carbide nozzle
- Pneumatic abrasive opening and cut-off foot pedal
- Compatible with metallic, mineral and vegetable abrasives
- Modular design convertible to pressure without welding (Industrial Line)

PRESSURE WITH CYCLONIC SEPARATOR
- Intermediate cyclonic separator between cabinet and dust collector — greater precision in abrasive classification
- Pressure pot located below the cyclone — direct return of clean classified abrasive
- Ideal for shot peening with glass beads and aluminium oxide
- Decorative blasting on stainless steel and aluminium with delicate abrasives
- Optional automatic nozzle manipulator for automated blasting
- Models: CY1210P-CART2, CY1618P, CY3113P (double cabinet)

OPTIONAL ACCESSORIES AND SYSTEMS
- Mobile cart with rotating plate for heavy parts
- Rotating drum for batch blasting of small parts
- Roller or parallel wheel conveyors for tubes, profiles and gas cylinders
- Automatic nozzle manipulator for thread and profile blasting
- Automatic dust collector filter cleaning system

Line CY-P-CART
Pressure blast cabinets
CYM cyclonic pressure blast cabinets provide highly efficient abrasive classification before reuse.
They are ideal for shot peening, decorative blasting and automated controlled blasting processes requiring clean, classified abrasive.

CY-P Line
Pressure Blast Cabinets
CYM pressure blast cabinets provide higher blasting intensity and productivity than suction systems.
Designed for intensive medium-production work, they use an ASME-code pressure pot to project abrasive at controlled low or high velocities.
