LT 240 tumble belt shot blast machines: two units in line at Urrea, Mexico
This video shows two CYM LT 240 tumble belt shot blast machines working in line at Urrea, a Mexican tool manufacturer. Each machine has two blast wheels and processes parts in bulk; the video shows forged parts.
Each load is 240 liters or 650 kg (about 1,430 lb), and the machine's screen shows the weight of every load. A hydraulic loader tips the bin into the cabinet, the belt tumbles the parts under the blast wheels and unloads them at the end. The blasting process is automatic.
With two machines in line, the plant adds production while keeping a uniform finish and a low operating cost. The dust collector works in a closed circuit, so the process does not contaminate the workplace.
The LT 240 is used for different industrial processes: surface preparation before painting, descaling, sand removal from castings and shot peening. It is the smallest tumble belt model in the two-wheel line.
The video ends with an aerial view of both machines and CYM's ISO 9001, 45001 and 14001 certifications.
